   Pouring Beer

Here's the beer options available to you:

You can purchase beer by the bottle. The most common are 330 ml bottles. On some occasions the big 750ml bottle is an option. Glasses with the 330 are a rarity in 2008. Most drink out of the bottle and this is quite acceptable. We have large plastic buckets available which are great with ice to keep cool beer available to your guests.

A cheaper option is to pour beer by tap. Cableways Liquorland offers three options:

Bronco pump: the cheapest and great for student/younger functions-locks into the top of the keg, then pour straight from the keg. Take care with the pump, over-pumping invariably leads to damage. They're over $150 to replace, so don't lose or damage them or your function will become costly.

Chilly Bin: This pouring unit runs the beer through pipes inside the bin that are called by a mixture of ice and water. A gas bottle is required. Quite presentable at functions for pouring beer.

German Pouring Unit: This electric unit is the only one in NZ, possibly Australasia. Imported recently at some expense, it has two taps that can pour the same or different beers. Gas bottle only required. Can pour cool beer from a warm keg if necessary. Very presentable at functions and will be even more so with a portable bar surround in due course.
