For crawlers
   THE BAR

Cableways has 19 beer taps-three stands of five, plus four stand alone taps. We pour Speights on all three stands as well as our local brew, Kaikorai Draught(sourced from the fine waters of the Kaikorai Stream). In the Monteiths stable, we pour the Black, the Radler and the Pilsner. DB Draught is a standard as are the Toki Dark and the Tui. On a stand alone, we have the Export Cold Gold tap(STOP PRESS: complemented by some exclusive Cold Gold 1.5 litre jugs that 'icecube' cool the beer from a separate compartment in the jug), a real beauty which is popular in summer. Grouped in a three at the corner are the Erdinger, the Kronenbourg and the Murphys Black Stout tap.

We have the German Wheat beer: ERDINGER(5.3%) on tap. From the best brewers of wheat beer in the world, this is imported thru DB and is available at Cableways in the standard 300 ml glass, or if you prefer in the larger 500ml job. It's enjoyed by a number of locals and championed by ex German and now settled Otago man, Eckhart Marthen. It's priced realistically. So if you're reading this and you're German, Cableways is the place for you. Go to www.erdinger.com

And while you're enjoying your favourite tap beer or wine, you can enjoy reading material from our new magazine rack in the snug-great if you're there by yourself for a while-the latest ODT is yours to peruse...the rack has a rail sourced from the orginal cable used on the Kaikorai line!

PUNTERS CLUB

Join us on Thursday nights for the Punters Club draw. You need to be a regular on that night. You need to have a Cableways Punters Club numbered card. The draw is for cash, starting at $60. You need to be there to win and it goes up $20 a week. It's simple, it's been running for a number of years and we've given away a fair chunk of money in that time.

RAFFLES

Cableways loves to support the community and nowhere is this more evident than the meat raffles that are run by local community groups:

Thursday: Bruce Bond runs a raffle supporting his Boxing Group for Youths at the Coronation Hall. What a great service this is to the youth of Dunedin-he gives up  four nights a week and there are no free lunches at his sessions.

Friday: Alhambra-Union RFC  run their weekly meat raffle. They're great supporters of Cableways and this is a good way of thelocal punters to return the support.

Saturday: Kaikorai RFC Juniors are on the go. They've been with Cableways for a number of years and still run an outstanding raffle.

SO IF YOU'RE IN ON ANY OF THESE NIGHTS, DIG DEEP AND SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL COMMUNITY
